Bicycling in winter is wonderful, but only if you are well dressed!

I don’t mean dressed like Lenny Karvitz, just dressed smart, dressed sassy, and dressed in style.

One of my favourite winter bicycle accessories are wrist cuffs, or arm warmers.

They are simple, yet superb at keeping the warmth in and sealing out the cold where your coat sleeve ends and your winter gloves start.

They are perfect for early mornings, or late nights, when the wind chill is extra chilly, and they can be slipped on and off again with ease.

There are many styles on the market, but one of my favs are these up-cycled woollen cuffs hand made by local Melbourne designer Gaye Abandon.

Here’s how they fair in a Bicycle Babe test!

The Good:

1. Warm – they are toasty! The fabric used is super fine and light weight, yet the weave is tight making them amazingly wind proof!

2. Natural – they are made from real wool so they won’t make you sweat or smell.

3. Eco – all cuffs are crafted from up-cycled woollen jerseys!

The Bad:

1. Ummm – not wearing them can be very very bad.

The Ugly:
There is nothing uglier than blue lips, so wearing a little pair of blue, or red, cuffs will turn your winter bicycle days from blue to babelicious!

Bicycle Babe Rating: 10/10

Where To Buy:
Gaye Abandon sells online and ships worldwide.

BTW if you do want to Lenny it up this Winter, try this New York number.
